Stupid Tranny Question

I have an 88 iroc-z i just bought it and i want to know who made the tranny in my car... its the 5spd. i have gotten into a lot of drunken arguements with people saying its a muncie or a borg-warner or something of that sort... i would just like it clarified

BTW, wasn't Borg-Warner bought out by Tremec, or something like that?

Borg warner was bought out by Dana I think and now they are just a small part of Dana Spicers many companies.

I thought I read somewhere it is a Tremec t-56 now
