Because of the crazy gas prices in california im using my dads PT crusier as a daily driver (it sucks but i gets good gas mileage). So im driving over in hemet down sanjacinto street and a blue SRT-4 pulls up and i thought nothing of it, so we catch a stop light and i look over and there is a kid in his mid 20's so i decide to rev i take it to 2k and let off he looks over and does the same so i know its on and then i realize im driving a piece of shit PT crusier but oh well i bring it to 2500 and leave it there the light hits green and we take off, to make a long story short before i hit 3rd he was a little dot in my front window. Fun race there pretty quick.

lol...nice death. It's funny how whenever you see a car you would love to race, you either seem to be going to other way or, as in your case, driving in a car you don't want to be. Too bad you didn't have the nova. But again, nice death.

Nice Death my man! :smokin:
Don't underestimate the PT Cruisers too much though. My Mom has an '01 Limited, top of the line, with a 5spd manual. I bored it a few years back and wound up next to a '94is Cavalier with the 3.1L V6.
He wanted in my lane (right of 2 lanes) to take the same corner as me, and we were head to head at the stop light. I didn't even aknowledge he was there, but i watched the lights, it was beautifull. I timed the light and launched perfectly with no revs. Smoked him off the start and he had to fall behind me.
After our corner we were on the same kind of road, and he swung next to me again, but this time instead of a flat road we were on a slight decline. This time i reved it to 2500 RPMs and timed the lights. We were even for about 15 feet with another great launch on my part. This is when i found his was an automatic, cuz i pitched it into 2nd and we stayed even, but then he dropped back a bit as he up shifted. I threw the Cruiser into 3rd and had pulled ahead, his bumper was by the rear door. I put it in 4th and it was done. I started to pull and he shut it down.
Sorry man, not trying to steal your glory here, just wanted to demonstrate that a little good driving with that machine can REALLY make a difference!
:naughty:

very true...i either get stuck in my mom's minivan or going the wrong way when i see one of the 83 billion rice-mobiles within a 10 mile radius of my house driving around

cavalier means slow in some foreign languages

a decently modded SRT-4 is finally a good race against me. 1/8 mile srt-4 is a bucket going down the track. after that though, they are a pretty quick car..
not bad for a neon with mitsu parts in it :D
