cmom guys we have all been there, planted our feet, be it during illegal races, drags or are just traffic light hero's!
lets have some stories about passed exploits and what the scene is doing in the States and Canada and stuff.

in OZ (i live in Perth) we have meets for the illegal drags and races every Thurs night outside mackers (how common is that???!)
usually go into the industrial areas where no cars go at night. often gets broken up by cops though kinda sux, pretty organised cause, we just regroup and start over.

Sooooooooo many stories I could tell.

Racing a shitstain...er...mustang in the rain, in a construction zone, about 6 inches from a concrete devider...my friend was scared shitless.

Racing an integra down Okeechobee Blvd. in west palm beach with my teacher who was giving me a ride home.

Racing some old, pos eagle talon with MAD mods done to it...every time he gave it gas, the wheels would spin like crazy no matter how fast we were going.

Racing myself, even. Me and a friend of mine went to a strip club that was about 30 min away. I decided to floor it on the way home. Did about 120 the whole way home...made it home in about 12 min.

The stories could go on for weeks, man...prowlers...the little 2 seater Mercedes (slk, I think it's called)...a Ford Expedition (bastard actually did 100!)...I don't think there's enough room here for all my stupid ass stories.

yes i have a many stories. my favorite is when i beat a prelude that lives in the same town as me and he was talking all this shit on me (he had a flashy body kit and chrome rims, he had CAI and maybe exhaust) and i just whopped up on him. i don't do that organized stuff, to risky. i am just a stop light racer, which isn't very often, i wanna save my engine.

I mostly just did the stoplight runs, too. Shitstains...er...damn...I always do that...sorry...mustangs, Probes, Eclipses (rs), Jettas, Golfs, Talons (n/a), other stupid shit, etc. I even did the organized thing for a while. MAJOR blast. I didn't race any...my car at the time (86 2+2) didn't stand a snow ball's chance in hell against most of the cars that were there. Had one hell of a time hanging out and watching though...even rode along with my friend in his modded Ford SVT Lightning. It's kinda strange...I hate Ford, don't like V8s, superchargers, trucks, or automatic trannys, but those are pretty damn cool trucks, man.

We were cruising around in my ZedX (Just sold one) and here comes Kung-Pow-Chicken in a riced up civic. Flys by us, slows down and starts revving.

My bud Jordan started yelling "Fuck rice!". He asked me nicely to kill this Shitvic.

Im pulling way out in front of this guy, and all the sudden I notice he starts catching up to me... Nitrous is all I can guess.

"Then just as theyre about to catch me... The... Twin... Turbos... Kick... In" (haha just messing)

And right as hes coming up on my tail... Lane ends :D

He goes directly into the ditch at about 115, HAHA.

We just kept driving.

Im surprised I didnt read it in the paper the next day, they bit it pretty bad.

But anyways, i've only had one or two other street racing experiences. But thats my best.

The other one includes me getting whooped by a SR powered S14.

And me almost flying into a group of drunk people walking downtown... So yea. Im not one to street race much.

I race a honda S2000, there pretty fast but once turbos kick in its game over. i try not to race but just knowing that i have a tt setup its so hard to say no.

*Looks at the 555cc injectors and ball bearing turbos sitting next to the new VG*

Um...yeah...these are for...uh...fuel mileage...yeah...thats it...save the planet and all...no racing whatsoever...

Theres no one around here to race. They all have the biggest pos ever. Saturns, stock civics carollas, pretty much over 1/2 of the cars are their parents. I rarely race anyone. I raced a Rav 4 once and a Benz clk 320 or one of those little covertable ones. Ofcourse thats the day I hydroplained into the grass median and cut my tire on one of those reflector poles that they put in the middle. I really dont have any good stories except the rav 4 ran a red light to try and beat me. Thats about the most exciting thing that has happened.

i hung out around at organized street racing before and it was a bunch of f-bodies and one wrx. two f-bodies were racing and nobody knew there was a curve after the straight and they were going about 130 and all the sudden we heard a errrhh and boom. one of the firebirds went off into the ditch at 130 and the other did 360's and hit the curb a couple of times. the one that went into the ditch the whole frame was just all bent up. that is the best story i have of organized street racing.

well depending on the weather we get around 200+ people come down and loyter about b4 cruising off to another area. heeps of cars, skylines, wrx's occasional supra or 300zx, 180sx + s13 silvia pretty common, heeps of cars as well as all the aussie muscle cars like Holden commodores (commonwhores) and the ford Falcons. (hey u no what FORD stands for??? either Fixed Or Repaired Daily/ Found On Rubbish Dump, hehe) sorry to any ford fans out there. :)

some pretty fast cars, few 11 second ones, so obviuously i cant compete cause id would get eaten lol

well i have done my fair share of racing...i can tell u guys that! I have raced a lot of bimmers, they are common where i live, ive raced preludes (poo-ludes), integras, civics, and volvos.

Ive won most of em except to the volvo with high compression turbos, 300 hp, and to a beastly civic with over 500 hp (i know i should not have metioned that and yes it was very embarrasing..lol)

most of my races start from a traffic light and go all the way up to about 130+ mph.....its crazy!!!!!!

There's a time and a place for everything. I'm not saying it's fun and ok and all that shit to go blazing through traffic, running red lights in the middle of town, even though I've done that...just be safe and smart about it.

I don't know why some people diss Civics so much...I've seen some VERY fast Civics. There was one that came to the little organized hang out thing that I used to go to from time to time that was running 10s........ALL MOTOR.....it made power to...like...11,000 rpms or something insane like that. Granted, it was waaaaaaaaaaay built up and had tons of money put into it...of course...but it was still pretty cool.

Friend of mine was talking to me about how he got spanked by a light blue Civic in his Camaro SS (35th anniv Camaro SS convertable with intake and exhaust...nice car). Turns out that it was that same Civic. Fast little bastards, they can be.

civics get dissed a lot because everybody and their grandma drives one, and when one does fall in the hand of a modder, it almost always turns out to be a ricer. but every once in a while, you will find a nice civic.

Its kind of funny how i was looking for a civic to play with and i get a beast.

Me and my friend were looking for one to play with and couldnt find any, so after an hour of looking we decided to go hang out with some friends of ours. So anyways we start to head towards where our friends were hanging out at and pulled up to a red light, beside me was a black honda civic hatch-back, so anyways my friend asked me if i was going to race it, i said i didnt know........i glanced at the car and saw some blue gauges in a pillar and thought nothing of it. Well the light turned green and the guy in the civic guns it...he burns rubber like a mo fo and then i hit the gas. The civic took 2 car lenghts on me in the very begining, he knew how to drive.....his car was burning rubber in 3rd gear!!!!! His back end of the car looked like it was going to hit the ground ever time he shifted, and OMG the bovs he had were going crazy, it was so loud!!!!!...LOL, well anyways we come up to another light and i tried to give him a thumbs up but...damn this guy had one thing in mind and it was to race, he didnt even look my way, he was just focused on the light. Once it turned green he guned it and so did i...well needless to say he killed me but would play with me, he would let me catch up then fuckin gun it and burn my ass. While all of this was happening my friend was just laughing at me cause i was getting my ass handed to me by a civic. Well i ended up following him and we started to talk and he showed me his engine and told me what he was runnin...he had a new engine...turbos, and a shit load of other stuff i cant remeber. He was 26 and made that car a weekend drag car...hes got the whole roll cage setup and does the 1/4 mile in the low 12's, at least that is what he said.

But once he told me what he had i made sure to tell him i didnt have a 300zx tt but i had the slowest 300zx they made in the 90's...a 2+2 auto 300zx. LOL....but damn even though it was supped up i just cant get over the fact that i lost to a civic. I guess like forest gump said, " you never know whatcha gonna get"

Needless to say i found my civic that night but it wasnt the kind of civic i was looking for.

We sometimes race on the Tokyo Chuo expressways - my best speed so far is 155 Mph and my best race was when I smoked some jerk acting cool on a Harley Davidson. Of course he got me on the start, but when I hit my turbos, it was all over. Over here though, the king is the Skyline GTR - extremely fast and usually starts at ~$35K.

why don't I believe you? lol, it sounds awfully like my early teen years.

How about racing with a S2000 and Supra (and losing pretty hard) when we pull up at some lights, all revving, with a Honda Civic with the ricer taillights in the middle of us. As we take off, I decided that I'd hang back so the Civic wouldn't feel bad :), and so I could see what would happen between the Supra and S2000 up ahead where there was a tight corner.
The S2000 goes around first (fuck they're fast), then the Supra. Both took the corner perfectly. Then the Civic came up, with no concept of what a good and bad cornering line is, and came into the corner from the inside. Needless to say, the back end lost it, smashed into the concrete median divider and he spun around 3 or 4 times. I slammed on the brakes and drove through the big cloud of tyre smoke and honda parts that he just created, to see him spin off into a side street. He stopped spinning just before he slams into a pole and I could see straight through his windscreen. The girl in the passenger seat was just hitting him.

did anyone see the chop top civic with an nsx drivetrian shoved under the hood in SuperStreet? that's the craziest civic I ever saw. As far as racing goes I can't really afford the risks so I stick to holeshots to the speed limit. I have a 91 350 auto chevy truck (yeah I know, it was free with a donation of a 92 ford escort sedan that I did however manage to get over 115(approx speedo unmarked past 85, but I was coming up on the rest pin)), but it smoked my friend's Jag and held with a camaro even with what seemed like a second and a half burnout come to think of it it hopped like a b!+%& against the Jag and only settled as I reached the speed limit

It's big in most big cities. That's why most big cities are cracking down on it. West Palm Beach has a task force kinda thing for it...they drive around in every kind of unmarked car you can think of...mustangs, tauruses, huge lifted Dodge trucks that carries a police quad (pretty cool), misc SUVs, focuses (dunno WHY)....anything you can think of. Speed traps were all too common there.

I was messing around with a civic in Jupiter, Florida (yes, it is a real city north of West Palm Beach) and the roads were wet. He tried to go around a turn about thing too fast and spun out. I was laughing at him as I passed him spinning around. Amazingly enough, he didn't hit anything. He was lucky...it would have messed up his new, primer gray body kit...

anyways...i just tonight i raced a grand prix GT 2 door. dont know any stats on it but all as i know that this kid was an asshole. we raced from a complete stop and it was a good race till i hit second gear and i just pulled away. anyways i slow down at about 95 and he keeps pushin. he finally catches back up and passes me. so i got back on it and i get right on his bumper proving that he cant beat me top end. then i back off and i slow down to about 65. all the sudden i see his car bounce around and go staright into a ditch at about 110 atleast. OUCH. anyways i get up to where he crashed and there was a huge dip in the road. obviously he got airborne off of it or bottomed out. this kid had to have gotten hurt. ill read about tomorrow in the paper. i kinda feel bad.

whoa man far out, haha its dangerous hey, especially if u dont know the roads.

in japan they have massive m bike restrictions and licences and so forth. takes years to b allowed to drive a big bike. i think u have to b older than 25 or something aswel?

raced a wrx the other day got him off the line just, but then his turbo kicked in and he was gone! i think my z surprized him a bit, not that it was a match for the subi just a pleasent surprise lol:)
