separating MAS from airbox

for those of you with a MAS connected to their airbox, how the hell do you get those 4 bolts off? i tried turning one bolt and it stripped the molding inside the airbox, so now the bold turns freely without getting any looser. i sprayed it with liquid wrench and that didn't seem to work either. any ideas???

I have the same problem. That is some cheap plastic. I stripped all 4 of mine. I want to put a front mount intake on my 97 mirage and i cant do that with the MAS... i want to know if there is a way to bypass it, or if i have to break down and spend hundreds to the mitsubishi dealership and buysomething that i may not need.
