E21 Auto transmission Problem

How do i adjust the auto, it changes up too fast and wont kick down

there are no 'band' or other adjustments HOWEVER,
it's sounds like you may have a 'Throttle Calbe' problem. this cable connects to the engine next to the cable from the gas pedal. what it 'tells' the transmission is obvious so if it's loose or broken you'll get the exact symptoms you've described....jb
