I have a choice that I your help on. Should I keep my 92 honda civic hatchback or should I sell it for an e30 325is? Most people I know think that the e30 is ugly and that I should keep my car but the e30 is RWD and has the power that I want.

My old 528e/new 535i vs. my Acura Legend are TOTALLY different animals, each with their own strong points. I trust that with the E30 325is and '92 Civic, you'll discover the same thing.

The E30 sure is a lot more distinctive than a Civic, and for me that's reason enough to buy. Plus the 325is is sort of the cream of the E30 crop (besides the [too] high-strung '88-'91 M3) with handling as sharp as its styling, the strong engine you mentioned, and reliability that comes with its relative simplicity of design. Parts ought to be common too.

Still, it's not going to be quite as quiet, refined and ergonomically sound as your Civic, just like my 535i doesn't have the glassy idle of the Legend or coddle its occupants the same way.

well, your posting this on the BMW forum, so your bound to get BMW winning most arguements... But I would have to say get the E30. RWD just owns the FWD civic.
