No. There's no such thing as modifying a car without troubles, much less an engine swap. You will always run into something
how much horses can i get out of the rb25det?
Horses is not a unit. HP is. There is no set limit
how much with stock internals?
I have heard around 500-600. If that is the case, then 400 reliably everyday. Do some research.

Yes. It depends on how intellegent you are. It might be kinda simple or pretty hard if you don't know how to use a wrench.
I apologize if I could not help you, but the FAQ is there to keep idiots like me from mis-informing you.

Actually, RB25DET are pretty weak, they can't hold more then like 300-350p, or so I heard. I think it's the connecting rods, you can like bend them with your hands or something.

To show the knowledge king that RBs can handle around 500hp on stock internals.

Well I just based my opinion on what Razor and a few others said, but I guess this guy knows what he's talking about, and besides, this is better cause I want an RB25DET.

That is just saying that the engine can handle it. That doesn't mean it will be reliable. If what razor said is true, then I would keep it to a nice 400hp.

rb25det's do especially well in a 240 if your going drag. The extra cylinders DO make a difference...
and as for speed the rb25det stock walks on most modern day v8's stock[well here in Australia at least].

I mean you must have a lot of time to think working your double shifts at McDonalds for the 12th year in a row because you have a grade 8 education, but I don't have that kind of time.

According to this website
http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm
his engine is making 437whp and 516hp at the flywheel using the MPH method and is making 404whp and 476hp at the flywheel. All four of these are over 300-350 in numerical order. I think the dyno result is pretty convincing as well.

That is the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard. And you do have that kind of time because you are online everytime I come on these forums and you have some kind of contradiction to everything everyone says. I was cool with you being wrong about the RB engine, but then you slipped up and said this shit. Not cool. This guy has helped me before and would probably show you a thing or two, like most of the people on here. IDEA: read more and post less.

If you guys open that thread surfman posted, make sure you read all of it. Especially this part,
600hp shouldnt be hard.. auto turbo400 tranny, 2650lb car, and some nice tire.. i should be able to squeek out a 9.80 at like 142.. still along way to catch up to the steet supras out there.. the one here in vegas went 8.89 @ 155.. just hard to compete with them.. they got some nice money behind them.. maybe one day ill be able to pick up a sponsor.. and be able to build the motor right and make some big power and be competetive with that..
8 second street supra? Ill pay to see that. This must be the rich 240 owners B/C I know my poor ass will never see 9's in a street car. Lets face it, turbo KA is my only option, but my second choice. I'll just be happy with 13's

can i drop a rb25det in a s13 with no troubles?
how much horses can i get out of the rb25det?
how much with stock internals?
can i put an s15 conversion in a s13 chassis?
is it pretty simple or is it kinda of hard.
LOL all these guys are funni fu#ks, im doin 25det conv into s13 down under, you need the wiring loom from 33sky altered, or stagea, if you are using rb20 gearbox and have manual box in our car then u can use the tailshaft, you will need bigger radiator, thermo fans, r32 xmember or r33 non turbo xmember, and thats bout it, simple take out put new on e in, if ure using rb25 box its bit more complicated coz u need custom tailshaft and box mount and shit but otherwise its east. 300hp should be bout the reliable power u can run throught it everyday, even up to 400 but it must be tuned properly otherwise it wont last. i got a mate with only rb20 runnin 380hp on stock internals, and another with 317hp with a ca18det stock inards in 180sx. it mostly comes down to tuning and the overall condition of your purchased engine.

I too want to swap an RB25 into my s13. I'm doing all the research first. I've priced out the front clip and everything to successfully complete the swap. I'm going to be moving to California in about 3 months after the Air force gives me the boot on a medical discharge. Atleast they are givig me a nice PHAT check for troubles. I really only have one concern. I have no clue how to get the RB25 to pass emissions. I was thinking about running 2 catalytic converters to lower the emissions.
Doe's anyone have personal knowledge of an S13 running an RB25 in Cali? If you do and it's legal, please let me know how you did it.

RB25DET and Transmission Installation in s13 or s14
Assemble RB and transmission. Flywheel 105-112 ft/lbs. Pressure plate 25-33 ft/lbs.
Install engine mount adapter plates on x-member. Leave loose.
Indent firewall 1-1.5” at starter area. That is actually the wrong spot. Indent the bump that is at 7 o’clock from where I dented it.
