No Racing NSXs?

The new racing-styled Honda NSXs with the formula-one roof scoop has been in existence for a while already, and I'm surprised no one has created any tooling for this yet. Is the main difference between this new car and the older JGTC NSX releases by Tamiya the roof scoop, or are there other styling differences? I haven't been able to compare the headlights yet.

To make a convincing model you'll probably have to take body parts from both the old Tamiya racing tool and the new Fujimi street molding. There will be a lot of putty and scratchbuilding, too, and the decals will be hard to source. I sure wish Tamiya would do the new ones... the Castrol Mugen machine is just beautiful!

Exactly what I am planning for my next project, Tamiya Mobil 1 NSX + parts from one of the Fujimi road cars. From what I can tell so far the front bumper is different, as are the wheel arches and the mirrors and of course the roof scoop, also the rear wing is totally different.
Not sure when I will be starting yet though, could be soon, work on the Supra has come to a grinding halt waiting for decals.
As for waiting for Tamiya to produce one, don't hold your breath.
