Decent system for under a grand?

im keeping my system budget a little tight cause of engine and appearance mods. any ideas for 1000$??

Under a thousand? I dunno, a couple good amps will already take up that amount.

i know ive probally spent a good 1500 on mine

but if you dont want to replace your stock recever and speakers and u just want subs you could do that for like 500 or less

what about like simply subs? i already have an aftermarket head unit and aftermarket a/d/s components

hell its all about what you wana put into it.. defintely somethingfor 1000$, i got an eclipse cd8061 and a jl 300/4 bout 1400$ so far, the price shall continue rising though.. time for speakers.. my budget is a bit wack though, im gonna have to wait a minute for all the supplies.. but my advice to you is to check out ebay. and as far as jl subs go, i dig em myself, but if you know a certified dealer, they usually will replace your sub if it blows or something as long as it isnthella abused and isnt ancient, so itd be agood alternative if you plan on popping speakers often with a hella loud system.. although ivenever blown any of the manyjl subs ive owned..

ok, i might be biased, but i love JL subs. not cuz they're voted number one in sound quality, but it's cuz i work with them the most. we sell JL subs the most, the quality is unequaled. pro series with the blue tag....just one 10. it's good bass. my first amateur setup was the one sub and 200 watts going to it, it was cleaner than my friend who had two mtx 10s with PPI amps, i shit you not.

JL is just crisp and has great punch. but again, i am a little biased, i work with stereo equipment all day 5 days a week....

If you want some knockin subs for under a grand...I'm selling my old subs with a box and amp. They are 2 12 inch RFP3412 Rockford Fosgate subs and a 600.4 Amp. The amp is pasted on the box.
