Rear Struts

I got a problem replacing a rear strut on my 89 grand prix. the two bolts at the bottom of the strut refuse to budge. All I can get on it with is an open end wrench because to heads of the bolt are strangely shaped. 2 ends are half mooned and the 2 sides are straight. I have heated the casting with a torch but still nothing helps. Is there a special socket to get this off and if so where can I get it? My parts supplier couldn't find anything like that in his speciality catalogs. Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 1994 Grand Prix that I am changing the struts on now. The bolts on mine are splined that pass through the knuckle. The only way they will come out is to press them somehow. I have only one more bolt to get out, but it will not budge. I am trying to use a C clamp to press it out. Hope this info helps.

Thanks for the info Dave! I put the nuts back on flush with the end of the bolt and heated the knuckle alittle bit again and rapped it with a 5 pound hammer and out they came. hope you are having better luck with yours. thanks again!
