Car Flooding (literally)!!

Big Problem!! last week I noticed a sloshing sound coming from the back of my car. When I opened up the hatch and took out the carpet mat. I found that the passenger side cargo space was half full with water! I pulled the sun roof drain hose out of its hole in the bottom of the space and drained the water. Put the hose back in its place and dumped water down the hose, no problems. Well after a huge storm today, it had water in it again!!! While i have a feeling it has something to do with the hose, im wondering if it could be something else, because the other side has started doing it too. Any Hints on how to replace the drain hoses would help alot too (the haynes doesnt say a thing about it).
Thanks alot!!

HHHmmmm ,
I dont seem to have any experience with that particular probem but, it seems that the drains come from the sunroof frame. If they have open access to external (drain) then possibly the water is not comming from those hoses, but from possibly the hatch seal -OR- I hear tell that these 944's have a symptom of the hatch glass pulling away from the METAL frame of the hatch, thus possibly letting water flow from someplace else.......

If you see that the glass is "De-Laminating" from the hatch frame, I beleive it is reccommended that you let a local "Auto-Glass" fix that crap ..... :)

Have A Nice Day!
(thats what the dealership, line Tech's tell me.............

How's your hatch seal look?

How about the rubber chunks that "attach" to the hatch glass?

Pull the carpet out. Put the rear seats down and have a friend hose the rear of the car down. Watch where the leaks come from. Do the sunroof last. You should get a good idea then.

More than likely its the latch drains. Pull the carpet in the rear out to expose the spare tire. You will see the black latch assembly. On the bottom there is a nipple. Make sure that there is a hose attached and that the hose is leading out of the car. These are sometimes knocked off when changing a tail light bulb
