Incidental music to my life at the moment...

Been having a fairly turbulent few months recently... I was out chasing sunsets along the coast in the car shuffling thru the stacker for tracks - I started to picking out the songs that you would play if the last few months of my like was some kind of Truman Show...

Avril and Sheryl Crow have had their mediocer tunes utterly ruined by the top 40 format. I have hear them played too much.

It's interesting how a list of songs can give you a pretty accurate glimpse into someone's head at a given time. I haven't been here ALL that long Rep, but it seems that you have had more than your share of trying/complicated emotional times...

Avril can't sing live. I've seen it, and it's not the same as the album at all. Her voice must be heavily mixed on the album, or else it's somebody else doing it. At least she does actually sing live, and it's not samplers like Spears or Aguilera...

your an idiot, I've been to a concert with a friend of mine and she sounds almost exactly the same. granted singers do have bad nights and get sick or get sore throats so you could have heard her on a bad night... but I can say that she sounded the same when I saw her

I don't mind some of Avril's music. And I don't (personally) believe anyone here has a right to mock you because you like her. Or her, for that matter.
You might as well insult the rest of the music industry, because over 90% of the mainstream shit I hear is garbage anyway, and is 10 times worse than Avril.

Well, I never said that all the songs were great or the best that I have - had to keep the selection to the ones that were in the stacker in the borrowed car.

A friend of mine had lent me a car while I was away on a short break in Melbourne and I was heading down the Shipwreck Coast... and there was only someone else's CDs to arrange a soundtrack...

Anyway, if you'd met some of the cast of recent events you'd understand where the songs came from. Too many loose ends and some spectacular @#$%ing disasters... but working hard on tying them up with a couple sorted out over the weekend which means the frown is replaced with a grin this morning...

Song for today is "I can see clearly now" - the Hothouse Flowers cover....

Just got to keep the momentum going and ride the wave now....

you obviously know nothing about her because she was how she is way before she got a label and the label couldn't sign her at first cuz she wouldn't go along with all the normal stuff that they try to make singers do.

and I never said "I shop at hot topic because I'm a rebel YA!" and I also never said "man you shop at abercrombie? preppy loser!" seriously I don't stereotype people by how they dress, I myself don't wear abecrombie, I tend to wear t-shirts with band names on them and occasionally skateboard brand shirts since I skate. A lot of my friends do wear cloths frmo the buckle or american eagle, a girl I'm good friend with even works at american eagle, so obviously its not like I hate anyone who wears that certain "type" of clothing.

what I was meaning by her not conforming is that she didn't turn into christina aguilera or britney spears and wear as little as possible trying to sell sex like they do, she just does what she did before she got a label, obviously you just assumed that the record label told her how to dress and act, and obviously you never heard that assumptions are the mother of all screw ups

Almost doesn't count. I saw her live too and she sucked. I'm glad my idiot friends bought the ticket, and the beer. That's the only way I survived the show, I think...
