well the guy was like 35-40 years old and he wants to payb for it himself instead of it going on his insurance. he's willing to pay for a rental car and all. but i do have all his info and plate number.
and i filed a incedent report for security

oh, sorry for not bieng very descriptive. i was behind him and he just backed up not knowing i was in the car, and did as you see in the pictures. he was really cool about it, but damn, look at my baby :disappoin

Do it through insurance! I can't stress that enough!!!

My buddy with the 240sx had some bitch back into his passenger side quarter panel and she said she didn't want to do it through insurance. He agreed and got dicked over big time! I know you want to be nice and all, but do it through insurance!

I don't trust half the fools that crash into me for paying the debt off. First off they want time to save up for the repairs, then they don't include the amount of money it costs for a rental car, and they want you to shop for prices for them. It's like fool, you hit me, and not the other way around. Good thing you filed the incident report to cover your tracks. Most truck drivers tend to irritate me. They shouldn't be on the phone while driving IMO, nor should anyone else be unless the streets are deserted or something.

yeah do it through insurence, they do a good job and u get it done right.We got screwed over as well with my dad's car.the women who crashed into the cars wanted to go through som1 she knew, but in the end the car has never been the same, in had a shoddy repair job on it.

youngvr4 I feel your pain man :crying: just two weeks ago some fuck also smashed my quarter panel, broke my drivers side tail light, and cracked my rear bumper all the way down :angryfire thats why I took my pic off my sig. so now I am sanding it down fixing the body damage replacing the parts and painting it myself all over again after I just finished it :mad:

An idea: shop around for the highest quote you can find. Then get the job done at the cheapest place you can find, pocket the extra couple of grand, and get your tranny fixed.

i called the guy today and he's just gonna go thru his insurance

it will take 4 days to repair, new paint :icon16: wich is good cause i was getting some nicks on my hood, lots of little nicks. so all is good :smile:

the dumbist thing happened to my dad while we were leaving a supermarket, this guy in a big f150 was pulling out of a space while we were pulling in the one next to him. we were in a 1989 audi 90 and the guy barley hit us, but it made an 800 doller dent, he refused to pay for it sayin he didnt do the damange even after we showed him how his angle would have made it possible, I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT, fess up. if you mess up take blame for it, dont be a prick

WOW. He probably decided to go thtough insurance for fear that you were trying to get a few extra bucks! Looking at the photos, its not that much... new fender & hood, paint... That should be a $1K job. Oh how the insurance industry has f'ed us all over.

Expect your insurance to go up. Even tho you didn't cause it, you're a higher risk now LOL. That happened to me. I hate insurance companies. Always have a hand in your wallet. They even give cops radar guns for free (hence the Gieco Gun).

I always keep a cheap camera in my glove box for situations like that, or if I see something that's worthy of a photo.

This way, if someone does happen to hit my car, I can take a picture of the situation surrounding the incident, along with damage pics or even a shot of the person who hit me (or vice versa). You never know if something has to get dragged into court, and it always helps to have physical evidence of what happened.

With that said, sorry about the car. For a price like that, they should be repainting the entire car along with the hood, fender and headlight. I hope it comes out well for you.
