I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0-non-turbo with 131,000 miles on it and its burning oil pretty bad. I love my car and I dont want to get rid of it! I know i either need to get a new engine or get it rebuilt. I was also told i could just need new piston rings. I have no idea what to do, so if anyone at all knows what I should do, PLEASE let me know! thanks so much.

well it depends on how bad its burning oil. mine didn't start that until 198000 but I am in the procces now of ripping out the block and putting in a stroker bottom end. so don't feel bad about a rebuild or motor change if you need it. it is after all a machine and the world is an imperfect place. things break. it aint all bad, you could pull some extra ponies and a hell of a lot more life out of the car with a rebuild. good luck
