What's fastest speed you ever been on your bike(s)? In what bike using which gear (5 or 6th, etc)? And where - track, street, or some place else?

Fastest I've been on cars yet is 105, cops here are very unkind. And by that I mean, some of them will take you straight to jail first if caught around that speed. Plus with cars, there's not a chance.
So what's it like at 185 on local roads? :iceslolan

115 on a secluded interstate crossing a bridge on my bike (ALMOST the fastest my bike will go). 115ish in my car on the turnpike (probably not such a good idea in hindsight.. still had about 25 or more mph to go, but ran out of good road).

I've been up to 248km/hr (or 155mph in yank speak) in 4th on the track but 200 on the street (125) on my current 954, but the fastest was 260 (161) on my old 1996 GSXR750t in 6th but she was tweaked.

150 mph a few times on my old 1984 750 Turbo Kawasaki by the speedo. Not sure how far off it was at that speed. The (new to me) '84 750 Turbo I am getting back together right now should be a hell of alot faster with all the info I've gotten off of Lorcan's 750turbo.com site.

:grinno: haha, yank speak! you Aussies crack me up mate. honestly, I don't think I could live under the metric system for too long, just too many things to get used to. I like my mph, pounds, and 12 inches per feet measurements, hehe. my uncles live over there, they claim it's coldish now.

I'm still sporting the Seca II. Hopefully, I'll get a new SV650S or "better" instead of a ring next year. ;)

been a bit of a tool lately and for two days i had to ride in traffic. i don't lane split (go between cars at lights) but any cance i had to get ahead i took it. it meant doing around 100mph in 3rd gear on average before rapid deceleration. and yes tangie i used my fronts
i hate traffic. good thing i drive a ute every day or i'd lose my licence or die
