3 series power steering question

I have a 2001 323I. The power steering is making that slight grinding noise like it is low on power steering fluid. Where is the power steering fluid resevoir. I've located the ATF oil resevoir. Are they one in the same?

yes, the small resevoir with the round 'handled' cap marked 'ATF ONLY' is for the power steering.
