Who here has a daily driven Eclipse that goes under 14 sec. in the 1/4 mile?

umm thats kind of hard....... good luck. my friends 13sec. car always had problems cuz he commuted to work.

It damn well better be under 12.99 even on my semi-tune.

I found daily drving the car was no problem until I got into the 11s. And now that the car is set up for even more power, it wont stay together long enough to beat the old time :D Under 14 seconds is a walk in the park. My car was a DD for 4 years, most of that time in the 12s.

Well looks like Kevin got offline for a while so I'll answer...he only put about $1800 into his car before he was in the 12s. I believe his mod list was close to what follows:


Exhaust (bushur 2.5" turbo back)
K&N filter (FIPK kit)
1g BOV on a cheap UICP
Profec B (could save some cash here with a MBC)

Palm Pilot M100
100 dollar 14b with 120k miles, with RRE "hacker/tweaker" kit

i was told that i should be able to break into the 12's, but i find that hard to believe on a t-25, but i would not put 13's out of the picture...

I don't know if I will. I want DSMlink, and even I'm not stubborn enough to buy an AFC/datalogger just to beat Kevin's record. I saved some money on exhaust and boost controller from Kevin's setup, which confirms that yes, you can go 12's on a 2g for way under $2000... I just don't want to upgrade twice. I'll probably get a 14b though, and I do hope to run 12's with it!

If I'm not mistaken, cars with the same mods as mine, or less, are running ~13.7 on pump gas. I can't talk shit though because I haven't gone to the track. Maybe if the weather gets nicer...
