proper way to rev match????

i know this question has been asked a million times but whats the proper way of rev matching your car???

their is no proper way..
the best way is to complment the guys car and ask if he would like to run and then rev.. i look over to him look deep into his eyes.. make kissy faces at him and rev (j/k).. just look at the guy and rev and hope he revs back..

Are you talking about matching RPM's?

If so, what I usually do is downshift into whatever gear I'm going into, and then I'll give the gas a little punch, which revs the motor, and then I let the clutch out.

For example, let's say I'm going to take a right turn, I will downshift into 2nd gear and as I'm taking the turn I will rev the motor to 2500-3000rpms, depending on the speed, and then I'll let the clutch out. Since your RPMs go up when you downshift anyway, the matching of RPMs' just makes the ride a little let jerky and I would think it's easier on the car as well.

You might find it a little tough at first, but once you get to know your car you'll get good at it.

How I rev match:

As I am approaching the turn that I need to slow down for ...

I apply the brake with the ball of my right foot, and at the moment I need to downshift, I blip the throttle (also called "yunning" because of the noise) by rolling the outisde of my right foot onto to the throttle while shifting while maintaining the ball of my foot on the brake. Obviously I use my left foot for the clutch.

If you followed the math, that was 2 feet and all 3 pedals.
That is called heel-n-toe shifting even though you do not really use your heel.

With practice this should be a smooth expereince and you only blip throttle for the split second you are traveling through nuetral.

everyone's technique is different- in some cars by turning your foot sideways, if the brake is higher than the clutch, you won't slow down how you want to because as you apply gas your toes will lift off the brakes.

Thats why people must practice or else they stall out there cars.I've seen it, funny.Some guy in a stang was tryin to heel-toe, stalled going round a corner an i just pulled next to him an started laughing.he tried taking off but his car was just a v-6 so i just stayed by his side laughing. :lol2:

You can keep constant pressure on the brake if you try. It's called muscle control, look it into it.
