P11 Car Cover?

Sorry if this is a repost, but I haven't quite got the knack of the AF search engine. I just bought Luke's 99 G20T-DET and I want to keep it looking as nice as it does today.

Can anyone recommend a good car cover? I'd like one that fits the car well and has a lock cable since I travel for work and the car will spend a lot of time in underground parking at LAX. Thanks in advance. I think Luke would strangle me if I let his baby's paint deteriorate!

Actually.. I dont think anyone has EVER asked that question here, lol...

Well I've never seen a P11 specific cover. It may exist though.

IMHO, I think you should take a cab to LAX and the leave the G20 in an armored garage! :D

Just throw a new, clean, dust-free painters dropcloth over it and rope it down at the tires (makeshift car cover)

I'm sure they make universal covers (w/lock cables) that would fit the P!! - It's a pretty common shape in general (B.M.W., Jetta...).

What I recommend to you, w/ that baby, I'd find a homeless person, leave him in the garage w/ your car (in cover), a one man tent (4 himself), a weeks worth of bologna sammiches and some booze. Tell him theirs two more bottles and $20 in it when you come back!:bandit:

Just a suggestion!

i know where you live dan......hehe, yeh, try the dealer but they'll probably charge you an arm and a leg for it. the dealer sunshade for the car is about $30!!!

dude, park over at WallyPark garage, they even have cloth separators between cars so that the car next to you won't bump your door. good security and pretty cheap..

i use to use them all the time when i lived in LA...or used a taxi. :D

kinda skeptical about using body covers without a good dusting too...will introduce swirls on the bumpers if you're not very careful.

my best advise to you... get a beater and keep your g at home. :p

Thanks for the advice. I park in one of the nice $15/day garages (not telling you deviants which one!) by LAX. I get a prime spot since I usually arrive at 5:15am on Monday morning. The car is under a spotlight, right between the office(open 24/7) and an elevator.

I'm going to call Scottsdale Infiniti and see if they'll give me a discount on a cover. I know a lot of the SE-R mailing list guys use them for parts. I'll let you guys know what I find.

yeh, especially with LA's beating sunlight, you're probably better off with some minor swirls than a UV damaged finish. :D hope you get a good deal...and... becareful where you park in LA!

i've known 5 guys (close car buddies) that got their modded cars stolen within the 3-4 years I lived there. car alarms, the club...they don't mean shit to these pro's.
