Antenna Questions/Ideas?

Ok... the 2003/4 Accords use a 'print on glass' style radio antenna... to me, it looks like an adapter module hooks up in series with the power supply to the rear window defroster and uses the defroster as an antenna....
I can get ahold of one of these antenna modules for cheap... think it'd work with my window defroster in the same way?

dude, my 944 had one of those in the front glass and all I can say is the reception is awesome it blows away anthing a fuba (sp?) or metal antenna could do. I used to get reception 100 miles away.

i have the stock antenna on my 91 4door and a kenwood head and i can get reception about 100 miles away on a good day.

how good are stock ones? dose my head unit make any diff. or do all of them get good reception 100 miles away?

imo if you really want some good reception just get xm... :sunglasse

Does your Kenwood have Sirius (sp?)? That would explain it.

but the rear defrost being an antenna sounds like a good idear. My friends said that some cars use the body of the car itself as the antennae, but not too sure about that...

i have no idea... :dunno: ... im not that much into audio... but it is pretty old and you can see it here http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/602150/2 you cant really see it that good, but you can tell its old as hell...lol

Sorry to go off topic but I'm just curious...on Satellite radio (xm, sirius, etc.) do they play edited songs, or do they actually cuss on there on some of them?

The ones I've heard play the cursing..... and my favorite radio DJ of all time is about to ditch regular radio and switch to XM because he's tired of the FCC... the FCC has no say to regulate services that are paid for. Like cable TV... only regulated by each companies sensors.... comedy central could play hard core porn if they so chose to.
