(This thread is only for those sensitive enough to understand its true origin... If you do not plan on doing so. Simply do not read it)
When one begins to ponder this stated reality, Or questions ones own existance. What comes to mind?
Many ideals, and Theories have been thrown around and stamped as "truth".
But is reality just as one perceives it? Or is reality nothing more than a series of feelings?
Start to question things, such as :
How does the Universe keep going, how is there nothingness?
Nothingness is not tangable, it can only be comprehended through feeling. This is the only way that the human mind can grasp this concept.
Quantum Mechanics explains the Universe as 12 "Strings".
These "Strings" or alternate Universes lay on top of eachother, as opposed, or directly inverse to a loaf of bread stacked on the table.
When these Universes interact with eachother, strange, and often horrific things occur.
This can explain all strange interactions... Aliens, Ghost's, Peranormal Incidents
Or can it?
In my deepest belief...
"Reality" as humans perceive it, is nothing more than a form of a dream.
Think if you were born comatose. You would know nothing but dreams, thus you would associate these dreams as, your, personal reality.
Life is simply dreams... Pain is only how you grasp it... Love is only how you grasp it... All feelings are nothing but emotions. Including physical interactions.
Yes, this reality may feel real at the moment.
But if life is nothing more than a dream... What happens when you wake up?
What will True Reality be? Can this explain the perverbial after-life?
Any other veiws on our Reality?
Is this Reality true... Or an illusion?

if the universe is only say "so" big.....whats beyond it? nothing? the nothing has to be made out of something or else it cant exist, so it becomes nothing....

Are you familiar with the child's philosophical discussion,'If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?'
The universe exists with or without us. While we can perceive a portion of the universe, our viewpoint is so distorted by the type of beings we are.....we are imperfect, with thoughts affected by exhaustion, emotion, hormones that affect our perception.
We, as humans can only perceive, through our senses a very small portion of the universe. We are no different than a foraging ant on a picnic in a park. Just as the ant sees the slice of bread he is crawling on, yet the ant cannot comprehend the social implications and rationale behind a 'picnic'; we as limited humans cannot grasp the true nature of the universe.

Wow, very deep thoughts I have thought about at least once during the course of my existance.
Life does seem to be a dream sometimes. Even right now as I type this, I am wondering when I will wake up and face "the real world." Someone with these thoughts probably created the Matrix movies. Same type of idea: living in a dream world.
What is beyond the universe exactly? Coincidently, I was thinking about this last night as I went to bed. Nothing is composed of something, right? Or does it go beyond a scientific level and into a religious level?
Once we all die (assuming there are no aliens), what is the purpose of the universe? To simply exist without being perceived by the "living" (stealing from MagicRat's idea). Or would we then exist as a different type of being, still observing the universe in a different perspective?
All feelings are nothing but emotions. Including physical interactions.
And yet those are simply electrical synapses between neurons on the body. The same reason why we live. Yet all this put together on a biological level somehow allows us to exist as free-thinking beings.
Simply amazing...

Firts of all. NO
This theory just explains a 12 dimensional universe. They then reduce it to satisfy the 11-dimensional supergravity wich only recently has made peace with the 10 dimesional TOE with the introduction of the soliton when it was realized that some branes were solutions of the string equations of ordinary 10-dimensional superstrings and the M theory was born.
I'm sorry but you really need to study more physics before you go into that. A good grasp of the standard model would be a perfect start, before you'll venture into the esoteric world of quantum mechanics and after you understand both properly try to get into string theory which attempts to make peace between them.
Also understand that quatum physics and even more the newer offshot string theory has about as many theories as physicists. So don't take them all as facts.
If you like multiple universe thenries try some physics theories that don't belive there is any colapse of the wavelenght but rather a split.

Ok thank you for the information. I was mis-informed.
The string theory would appear to make sense though... Do you think?

why even think about this? like stated by magic rat, the universe goes on with or without us... our perspective of reality is just that, our perspective. Reality to us is different from say a dog or bear or any form of life... the universe was made by a higher, more powerful, being than us and we are not made to understand it, we are just made to live in it... why do you think science is all theories? because no one knows all that stuff, they are just 'pretty sure' but there is no way to no absolutely for most things

I believe it is an intellectual imperetive for mankind to explore the nature of the universe. It is far too simple, lazy and easy to say that a superior being made the universe. If mankind always had this attitude we would still be living in caves.
Mankind needs to understand the nature of things. Sure we can't learn every detail of the universe, but solving the mysteries of the universe is a worthy and enticing goal.
Personally, I am impressed that our civilisation, despite our wars and differences can unite to better understand the nature of things, whether its the new Cassini space probe now orbiting Saturn or the new Swiss particle collider to be used in physics experiments.

Im just confused about how life could just HAPPEN... There had to be a greater power to lay the preverbial "blue-print" out.
Things such as the Human body is just too perfect to have just been chance. In my opinion. I just dont think the Human mind is ment to grasp some things, and the universe is one of those things.
And Soyo...
Not all science is theoretical. Such as Evolution. You annoy deny the omnipresent existance of Evolution. Maybe not major changes, but addaptation is consistant, and constant.
A sudden chill comes on... You shiver and your body creates "goose-bumps" to retain heat in your body...
You are sweating from working in the sun... Your body sweats to retain a certain level of coolness.
See what I mean?
Not all science is theory.
Not all science is fact.

yea your post was pointless cuz I said MOST THINGS meaning not all... Evolution can't be proved at all by science, in fact it disproves itself... adaptation does happen but it is not evolution
and I didn't say that science and research was pointless... I said its pointless to study a concept our minds can't grasp, such as the universe and reality and all of that

You dont have to study it... But you can think about it. My post was not pointless, I was simply stating that you said Science is all theoretical... When its not.
But anyways, I like to think about things like this... It keeps my mind open.

Where in that statement did you say most?
What are YOU dumb?
