Thanks! :D Here it is all installed. I will be putting something in where the ligher was too, but not sure what yet. I'm also going to go ahead and order two more switches even if I don't need them yet. THe blanks are kind of hard to look at since they don't sit at the same level as the switches.

Nice job Chuck! That would probably be a good place for an ARB locker switch.

Shhhhhhh!!! The spending side of my brain might hear that!

Actually, I have two more switches on order and this is the planned layout from left to right:

Green lighted switch - Front low mount fogs. (pictured)
Amber lighted switch - Rear fog light. (pictured)
Red lighted switch - Reverse lights.
Red switch with amber light - ARB locker.

Unfortunately, the locker or lockers won't be coming anytime soon. Too many other things I want to do first and somehow I need to pay my bills. I will be ready though! :D

I should add that the switches form Waytek.com are quite nice and I received my first order quickly. I highly recommend them for buying electrical stuff.

This is the thread that I thought was lost.
I was going crazy looking for it.

Are you going to replace the IPF switch so that you don't have to have the wire on the dash?

I did this with my 960's and it was very easy.
XXX did the same with his JO-1 (or whatever they are called) I think.

For the locker you will need two switches (one for the locker and one for the compressor).

I thought that might be the case with the lockers. Not a problem...I still have space on the other side there for another switch of some sort. I may also run one of my rear sets of lights off of the factory fog switch, so that will free up another one of the Waytek switches.

My original plan was to put the JO-1's on one of those switches, but I wasn't sure which switch to order for them. I guess just a three position one? Actually though, I kind of like the little push button one and having it close to the steering wheel is nice since I'm always switching between modes. I have a set of PIAA 1400's planned for the bottom of the ARB and those will be switched from that panel.

Funny how I put a switch panel in and I still have more toys planned than switches to run them!

You might want to shoot Coolerman an email for to get the type of switch that the j0-1 would need. He has helped me out with some switch questions.

How is the radio working out?

Chuck, the switches you got are the "Rocker Switch SPST 1-Light" from here? (http://www.waytekwire.com/)

Yeah, that is where we got dem der svitches!

ChuckH, I got a wiring diagram today of what pins are what on the back of the Contura switches, I can't understand the pin call outs but maybe you can?

Coolerman/Mr Baker can you help decipher what the Contura 44305 SPST switch pins are?

Thanks, Rick

Superjens; that picture is freaking me out...seriously!

As Rick pointed out, those are the right ones. They are very nice switches.

I took a nap earlier and was dreaming I had put in a CIBS kit. Guess I better do that next! :) Maybe I'll dream anout lockers next? :D

Hey Chuck, a little off-topic but.. I noticed that you have an in-dash cd player and a dvd player/lcd screen? Is that right? If so, How do you like it? And another question. I was curious if you could hook up the screen to a GPS and use it as a navigation system with mapping? Any info would be appreciated. I'm just tossing around the idea of a navigation system.
Nice job on the switches, very clean install.

Actually, that's an in-dash CD changer. I wasn't really interested in a DVD player for my truck. I have a portable player and headphones anyway. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your GPS question. I think N2 over on XOC might be able to answer that question. I can tell you why I chose the changer over the DVD player though:

1) Almost all my time spent in my truck is driviing. Can't watch movies while driving, so hours of music is much better.

2) If I am in my truck and not driving, I am likely in the back sleeping. If I want to watch a movie back there I would rather have the screen near me.

I also have the XM sattelite tuner, so I'm pretty well set up with tunes.

Oh look, the only way to play DVD's! :D

Chuck:

If you get really crazy and put in front and rear ARB lockers using
the ARB compressor, you will need 3 switches (they come with compressor/locker).

1 for the compressor. (it has to be on for the lockers to operate.)

1 for the rear locker. (rear locker has to be on for the front locker to operate.)

1 for the front locker.

If you use some else's compressor and/or air tank, then only 1 switch per locker.

If anyone cares anymore, I put in the other two switches. I was afraid I might not like the red switch, but it turns out I do. Well, I've got atleast one item on order to utilize a switch!
