yes im confused on whether to buy a 1999/2k accord EX V6(4door) or 2k maxima.
they are both the same price and so on, but i just want ur ppl's opinion on the reliability of both cars engines. Which car car produces more trouble, thus more repairing. ummm, i guess they are basically the same in performance give or take a few hundreds of a second rite? Which car is more susceptible to minor bolt ons(not the hardcore stuff)?
ya thx, any input would b great, ask questions if anyone is unsure of what im asking, etc.

my dad has a 2000 gle maxima and it's a really nice car. i don't think they offer the accord v6's in a manual tranny for those years so i would recommend the maxima with a 5 speed tranny since you plan on modifications. the maxima has 30 more hp and about 30 more ft/lbs of torque. i had a 95 maxima that had 167,000 miles on it when i sold it to buy my new one and it was still running well at the time, so i can vouch for the VQ's longevity. the maxima has a good aftermarket, but it's not honda status.
my friend's sister had a 2000 v6 accord and she ended up selling it for a prelude cuz she wasn't all that happy with it.

My mom's 1990 Maxima lasted for seven years with no problems...they have really good motors.

The 1999-2000 Accord is the most reliable car in the world, I saw it in a Magazine from England. The worst was the Audi TT.
The VQ Nissans Engines are in the TOP 10 engines in the world list. So there ya go, tough choice.
The Accord V6 does come with a manual transmission 5 speed.

I have an 1999 accord 4 cyl w/5spd and think that it has plenty of power for everyday use. But, get the maxima for the fun factor
