No Turbo 4G63?

This came up to my head just thinkin about VTEC. Anyways, how good is a 4g63 without turbo? or is the engine based on making turbo better...or whatever. Has anyone ever made a 4g63 non-turbo? i mean, jus for the hell of it, how would it feel like?

it would be pointless lets just say. turbo engines are built for turbos.

I don't get it, wtf do you mean by 'good'? There are a boatload of Mitsubishi's with non-turbo 4G63's in them. Hyundai's too. They are all perfectly good engines, just not going to be fast.

1g's 2.0 non turbos are 4g63
Galant had 46g3's in them
I maybe wrong on this but I think the lancers have them

The NT 4g63s have higher compression than the turbo motors. A turbo 4g63 with no turbo would be slow as hell :D

Yep the 6th gen galants have a 4G63T in them and some 7gen have em to. As to the lancers? They have 2.0 liter DOHC engines could they also be called 63's? hmmm think about it

Block and rods are the same, head is the same but the cams are different. The psitons are different, and the source of the compression increase. The pistons are not as strong I hear, but I'm not sure, never seen one.

Yeah, in Europe where i live Eclipses was maded by Mitsubishi not by DSM and they got only a 4g63 non turbo 146HP, is really hard to add more power to this engine because there aren't any performace parts for this engine, that's why a lot of people prefer to swap a motor of a Lancer Evo 3 (I think.............)

ya and over here in America , cavaliers and silverados are made by cheverolet not GM.... :)

I have a non turbo 4g63 engine in my shop.
The pistons are different and the oil sprayers aren’t there.the ones that spray the wrist pin any info would be great!
If any one would like pic’s I’ll send them to you just email me I would like to have pic’s of the internal engine of a turbo block if you have any please send them as well.
