I Bought A 1999 Ford Mustang Gt With A Locked Up Engine, I Pulled The Motor A Found That The Previous Owner Never Changed The Oil Causing Four Rods To End Up In The Oil Pan. So Much For A Short Block.anywho I Located A Sweet Deal On 2001 Gt Motor With 23k Miles And Purchased It,i Have Since Realized That There Are Some Differences In The Idler Pully And Tensioner Pully On The Front Along With With Some Sensors That Are On The Front Of My 99 Heads Are Not On The 2001 Engine.then I Discovered That My Flywheel Has Eight Bolts And 2001 Crank Only Has Six Holes. What Other Problems Will I Have? Will My Computer Run This Engine? I Sure Did Not Think It Would Be Such A Difference. Boy Was I Wrong. Any Help Sure Would Be Appreciated

just find a motor from your year. you won't have to change a thing, just drop it in, bolt it up, wire it up, give it coolant and go. the alternative is to get a computer from an '01 and a flywheel/flexplate (auto or stick?) trust me if anybody knows about having to pass up sweet deals because of stupid problems it's me....

anyway, you're in for quite a bit of work to get that motor to move your car... good luck.
