I OWN A 85' FIERO SE WHICH I HAVE RECENTLY TURNED INTO A CONVERTIBLE :banghead: I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A 6 PT. ROLL CAGE FOR IT TO SAVE MY NOGGIN IF I MANAGE TO ROLL THE CAR,OR DIVE UNDER THE BACK OF A TRUCK SO I MIGHT NOT GET HEADLESS. I AM WONDERING IF THAT ROLL CAGE WILL GIVE ME ENOUGH STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY BACK OR IF I'LL NEED TO BUY THE X FRAME? THE BODY WORK IS QUITE EXTENSIVE TO DO THIS AND MAKE IT LOOK RIGHT, IT'S GOING TO REQUIRE A LOT OF WELDING AND FIBREGLASS WORK. MY OTHER QUESTION IS HOW DO I REINFORCE THE WINDSHIELD?

Save yourself lots of trouble by purchasing a kit with the proper quarters and reinforced windsheild header. An x-frame is a must!!! Rather then a gaudy 6 point roll cage a nice conservative roll bar behine the seats would look better(just my opinion.)

I would hope you never roll the car... we don't tolerate that kind of Fiero abuse here :nono:

B&B Spyder makes a subfram kit..www.b-bspyder.com.

www.twinlakesfiero.com has made convertibles and roadsters. I do not know if Bob makes a kit. He has built the cars.

You really should have had the extra support on the frame before cutting off the roof!!!!! Do it soon buddy or the car will lose its support.
