drag 3 on a 99 si

I just put a Drag 3 on a 99 si. We are having problems with the car running now. If we connect the MAP sensor on the throttle boy the car iddles fine and has good throttle response, but if we hook up the MAP sensor with the check valves the car shuts off as soon as you start it. If you feather the gas it stays running(barely). My question is, has anyone else had this problem? Is there a combination of directions that the check valves face? We're ordering a missing link, but right now the car is parked for safety. Thank you

If you have the check valves facing the wrong direction then the map sensor will not see vacuum. This is what it sounds like is happening. Just try swapping them around and it should correct the problem and allow the car to run right again. We hada similar problem the other night with a SC install. We installed a hondata at the same time and forgot to reroute the map sensor to the manifold to read boost. The car ran like crap untill we found our error.

How do you like the hondata? I'm getting ready to order the stage 2b for my hatch.

The hondata is a real nice unit. We don't even have it tuned yet and with the same mods that car pulls on the other two we have setup without the hondata.

it's a standalone engine management. It allows complete controll over fuel and ignition mapping. The biggest thing is that it can read and deal with boost though. For some more info go over to www.hondata.com
