I wonder what happens if they find him "not guilty." Does he just walk out a free man? I know that's not gonna happen (and shouldn't), but I would think Bush would have a heart attack.
Anyways, if Saddam thinks he can get away with just denying the charges, he his mistaken. He'll probably end up getting hanged or something. The Kuwaitis want him dead, that's for sure.

Get this: G-r-a-m-m-a-r is not Spelling, and Spelling is not Grammar. His grammar was almost correct, except he left out the "I" to start-off his sentence: never new pointing fingers in court was effective.

Yeah, that's REALLY not going to happen. It's gonna be interesting, though, most of the those same great exile groups (http://www.number-10.gov.uk/output/Page3065.asp) stories of torture and death under his rule came from who were so spot-on (http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/news/nation/7951033.htm?template=contentModules/printstory.jsp) about all them WMD Saddam surely had (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/03/iraq/main603691.shtml)...
I mean, Saddam's toast. Even in the slim likelihood that he's actually not guilty of all these things (VERY SLIM) they're still gonna kill him! Mmm tasty show trials, how very democratic!

if you find him guilty then you better put your presidents and the others they support on trial for war crimes.

oh the man is guilty. my point is not as guilty as some others. i just want to see a fair world. you commit a crime get punished for it. the president "whoever" is power seems to think they are above the law and the rights of the people they are elected by and meant to serve.

It is a mockery. It is just for illusion to calm the barking dogs. There is a bigger agenda behind the trial. Before one knows it, it will become a broadway show.

lol, I don't see the point of a trial.
Now do be sensible...A trial for Saddam is the only positive result that Bush can claim for invading Iraq. The nice little piece of theatre in which alleged "sovereignty" was handed over and then Saddam was whisked into court is no coincidence...It's a charade designed to help convince Iraqis that they have some kind of say in the matter. The real trial will be scheduled so that the juiciest bits of prosecution evidence can be aired just before the U.S. election. That way at least Bush can try and salvage some kind of kudos for winning the war, instead of having to make excuses for losing the peace...

And add to that figure all the Iraqis who will suffer as a result of depleted uranium and unexploded ordinance[particularly cluster bombs] over the next 10-20 years....
Bush bleats about non-existent WMD, then uses his own on Iraqi civilians.
Who's the war criminal, the man who defends his own country with conventional forces,or the invader who uses dirty weapons and abuses his prisoners of war.Put Bush on the stand beside Saddam.

I'd like to see bush go to court, just for the entertainment value - even if he were never sentenced at all, it'd still be good for a huge laugh.

I agree. I think Saddam should have a trial, but without a doubt, the sentencing will be predetermined. I agree with you and 2strokebloke about putting Bush on the stand too.

Oh, and just what undermines the credibility of those sites? Is it that fact that they're not a major US media outlet, or is it just that they are reporting things you don't want to hear?
