If the timing belt breaks do these engine bend valves?

no timing belt...theres a timing chain for the v6's

for the 4 bangers, there a timing belt.....

with the v6's you dont have to worry about the chain breaking....theres very FEW instances i have heard of them breaking....

no they will not bend valves due to it being a non iterferance engine. so dont worry.

my understanding is that the 4 cyl. 2.0 in the contour is free-wheeling or otherwise non-valve bending.

I know from experience, that the 4 cylinder is not a interference engine. I snapped my t-belt a couple years ago.
