Oil Smoking

I have a 302 that after about 30 miles or so, oil appears to be smoking out of the dipstick. Also the oil pressure guage gets squirrely. Engine will also start bogging. Valve cover has a leak. Doesn't appear to be significant water loss. Truck starts right up and runs great initially.
