license plate bulb replacement

Does anyone know how to change the bulbs in a 2001 Silverado 1500 for the license plate lights? Any help would be appreciated...

If I remember correctly you turn the light cover and it comes off. Then pull out the bulb and replace. Someone make sure I'm right before he does this and breaks something.

You're right. Police pulled me over for no license lights one night. Took me 5 minutes to put new bulbs in. Do like those self-defense instructors tell women: "grab twist and pull". :bananasmi
