new batteries

I finally got my new batteries. If i decide to put them both in the trunk do i have to run the pos and neg to the trunk or can i just ground the original neg in the engine compartment and the new ones in the trunk?

you can do either, as long as the negative is making a solid ground with the chasis you're alright
