hey guys, im plannin on makin my rx7 much lighter than it is now. i know the convertible is the heaviest model of rx7's they made, weighing at more than 3000. Are there anything in the car i can remove to reduce weight, useless things i dont need to drive the car, or anything i can remove without affecting the driveability of the car? Im also thinkin of removin the AC, how much weight will this take off? I heard this free's power too? So please tell inform me on this, tell me about any weight reduction mods you guys did to your car. thanks!

Look for an aluminum (TII) hood. You could remove your bumpers, but I don't think that's a good idea. ;)

find someone to make you fiberglass body parts... how safe that would be to drive I don't know... and where you could do it I don't know either

clean up the engine bay and remove emission if you dont have test to pass,
strip the interior and remove the tar and all the stuff on the firewall, get a nice bucket seat, the stock seats weight tons and tons, you can also remove the speakers and the sound system, spair tire and jack, leave your top home when the day is clear and nice. heater and air blower motors are wicked weight too. headlights weights alot, try to find a slick headlight kit,

Some verts have aluminum hoods. That was an option and I think you had to pay a ton for one. S5's are a lot more likely to have the aluminum hoods.
