I need to remove the motor and fix/repair it.
The service manual says to drill a hole in the regulator and backing plate and put screw in it.
I don't know where to drill a hold? Do I drill into the door and into the regulator or is there a hole in the door to drill into the regulator?

After you get access you will see a rivet at one of the mount positions,,about the size of a dime,Drill it out and install a hex head screw,if I remember right it is towards the rear of the door/regulator

I took the whole regulator and motor out. It slid right out. I then drilled a hold and put a screw in and removed the motor.
The motor is dead. I need to get a used one to replace it .
