Ones a belt ones a shaft. Shaft driven is usually a little stronger, however there are more parts to it, and its a little more expensive.
Either is fine for drifting.

Your welcome dude. I see you signed up. The sprint is the lowest rc i think hpi makes. Im looking for a RTR car right now. So i think you should looking into a nice RTR car that you can upgrade sometime in the future.

dash is a cheap rwd car, but rwd drifting is more fun, but sprint is perfect for drifting, lots of aftermarket parts and drifts really well

hey u guys are nitro cars right?
im shaft and i think its heaps more better than belt
to me i think it has better respones ma friend has a belt drive car it pretty good
costs more for belt cars i think ma friend pays 15 bucks for a set of belts
plus if ur belts n gear gets stuffed u end u payin quite alot of $$
i got shaft its very strong my gear cost 10 bucks plus the shaft joints to the gear box is inly $3
