91 caravan with no spark

I am working on a 91 caravan with a 2.5 the fuel pump has been replaced.I checked for spark and it did not have any.Is there a way to test the pickup coil under the rotor?

I had the exact same problem and it took like a month for my mechanic to figure out that all it was is... tere is a plastic peice inside the distributer... it was burnt out....and it was causing us to et no spark and our van would not even start and we habve the same engine as your ... everytihing is the same it sounds like
