Can I put BF Goodrich All-Terrain TKO tires 265x70xR17 on a stock 2003 4-runner. I don't like the Grandtrek tires and want an aggressive AT tire. What size tire would fit without rubbing or lifting?

275/60-17
285/60-17
These are the size options avaliable for your truck!
The tires you are looking at will affect your speedo
and your mph will be off by like 3 to 5mph! My suggestion to you is to go with the 285/60-17.
Bf goodrich is a goodchoice, so is the michlien LTX M/S. :twak:

Mine is an 04 2WD w/ the standard 265/65R17... i took it to a local firestone shop and they told me i coudn't go any bigger with the tires but i can go wider. Is this true? Is it becuase i have a 2WD? I want some bigger more aggressive tires and I see other runners with them around town, but now my local shop is telling me no? what's the deal?

I am going to try the 265x70xR17 BF Goodrich All Terrain TAKO. I will let you know if they fit. I don't care if the speedo is off by a bit. I think it is worth the change for better traction. Toyota sure screwed us on this one. Hopefully will have installed this week. I would think the 265x60xR17 would cause speedo changes also.

I went ahead and put the larger tires on and they fit fine.
Kind of close but work ok. Bridestone 265x70xR17 TAKO are great tires.
