Please help

I was just given a 93 escort so i could keep my WRX in the garage so i don't put too many more miles on it. I am trying to get it inspected and on the road. I went to replace the front rotors and the drivers side came off no problem. The passenger side on the other hand still hasn't come off. I've tried just about everything. Also, there is supposed to be a bolt in the rotor, also not there. Also, the brake lights don't work and the fuse isn't blown. And the heater fan stays on no matter what the setting on the controls. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the bolt on the rotors is optinoal, not always there. brake lights you can just say fuck it and buy new bulbs for like 1.29 and see if there blown, and ive had problems with my blower not coming on, but I just cleaned the ground wire underneath the glovebox, it was rusty. so there are a few thoughts and by the way....you suck, I want your other car.

The taillights come on, but the brake lights don't. Can one go out and not the other if its the same bulb? I just looked at the blower motor and it looks like it has been jerry-rigged.

yes, the bulb has 2 filaments, one can be blown. get a wiring diagram and wire the blower motor correctly. Even if that doesn't solve the problem, it could fix potential future problems.

Do i just undo the nut in the middle of the hub? I have a Haynes manual, but it doesn't really tell me much.

Ok, how did you get the old stud out? I've put many of these on with no problem but not all cars are equal. See if there is a "notch" on the spindle. It will be distinct if so. If it does then CAREFULLY knock the old stud out and replace it with the new one. Using a C-clamp or equivalant tool, press the back of the stud to the spindle as far as possible. Next, use a ratchet/socket and try to pull it the rest of the way in. Don't attempt to "torque it" because doing so will result in a damaged spindle and a stretched stud. Good luck.
