Here was my attempt at Altezza Lights for my 1/18 Avalanche. Thanks to Hobbes for posting about remove graphics. Applied that technique to make them.

that looks pretty cool... i don't have an Avalanche diecast (yet ;) ) but i guess there is a graphic on the outside of the light... or did you manage to pull the lights off the body and apply his technique to the inside?

i think they are too "ricey" to be on a domestic truck. but it doesnt matter what i think, its your diecast. but to say something nice, they came out great

That's the last thing I expected my tutorial to be used for.

Nice job.

I pulled the tail light off one of my Avalanche's and the interior of the lense is dyed red. I completely removed all the dye (or whatever you would call it) so it was a clear tail light. I then took a red sharpie and colored the chrome piece that goes between the lense and the body.

If I wasn't ready for criticism I wouldn't post it. Thanks for being honest.

Does anyone know if you can use something else BESIDES nail polish remover, like paint thinner, because I dont really wanna be seen in the store looking at nail care products.

I think paint thinner will remove all of the paint. Besides, there's nothing wrong with going to a supermarket and getting some. That's where I got mine from...

If there are any other ways, don't be afraid to post it.

If you don't want to be seen buying that go to store you hardly ever go too/farther away :evillol: Or you can just tell the cashier that you need it for your diecasts . . .I'm sure they'll believe you LOL :iceslolan
