How to remove window switches (1999GT)

Does anyone know how to remove the panel that holds all the window switches and doorlocks. When I pust the windows switch down the switches all get pushed in. It looks like it might break and fall into the door if I do not do something. Does that panel just pop out of the door handle or do I have to take the whole door panel off. thanks John

First there is no 1999 GT! You have to take the door panel off and then you can mess around with the switches

My bro just took his off to put in new speakers and he had to pop it all off. His is a first gen though but But getting them off is pretty much the same. There might be a couple screws in it but once you get them out pry on the door panel and itll pop off. You might break one of the little plastic brackets in the process but they can be picked up at any hardware store for no more a 10 cents. Once you get it off youll have all the access you need to the switches. Good Luck.

There are 6 screws. Two on each side. One behind the door handle. One in the little opening thingy.
