0-60 on altima?

Just looking for recorded numbers anyone may have for 0-60 on the 97 Altima.

Try 5.4 seconds to 60, 95 altima 5 speed cold air of course, cheap ass muffler, gutted cat, no hood, no backseat, and somewhat gutted

Well, a STOCK altima does it in 8.2 seconds and the quarter mile in 16.4 seconds.

anyone know the 0-60 on a 2000 5 speed stock?

edmunds says 8.4 seconds.

i think its funny that people are asking about 0-60 times on an altima...i mean its not a bad car i drove on for a few years...but it aint no race car...now im just figuring here based on my car...but a stock would be between 8 and 9 secs...probably closer to 9...the five speed would be a little faster...but still it doesnt by an stretch of the imagination make it a sports car...i hope you guys arent looking to mod it cuase it would just waste your money...save the money and by something thats fast...because just remember at the end of day...its still an altima

you can get a fwd sr20det and make yourself a bluebird and the stock ka24 can stand up to a decent amount of boost on a stock bottom end. it amy not be the most optimal car to tune but it has potential and it's original.

modifying your own car, any car, isnt a waste of money. I was just curious as to the 0-60 time of my car, i didnt say that i can smoke a vette. I live in the new york area any anything remotly considered a sportscar around here cost an arm and a leg in insurance so i couldnt get the prelude, integra, rsx that i wanted but my car can be pushing close to 300 hp on stock internals and its not a waste to modify it.

In my opinion it's not a waste in any way. Even if it is "just an altima" a Civic is "just a Civic" until that B16a is swapped in eh?

Jeez, if you're gonna make a fast Altima, at least use the newer V6. Those things are actually damn fast.
