Stop it you are making me feel sick again. :banghead: For those that are clueless, last year before I got my civic, I was going to the auctions frequently and they had a S2000 there that was wrecked in the rear and slight bent in the front. It went for maybe $65-100 and I didn't bid on it. :screwy: I wasn't thinking of parting it out. It still had the seats, console, 2 front wheels, engine, etc. What a loss. I won't let that happen again.

That's looks cool.

I've got the Integra center console right now, but I'm going to take it out and sell it.

Right now I'm looking for a 92-95 Civic center console to put in instead.

I went to the junk yard and got a integra console, got it home and really didnt care for it because of how the cupholders were(wouldnt hold a large mcD's iced tea I'd got on way home),looked good though, color was even brown!,but my wife has a 99 si,so I eyeballed her console a while, finally took it out and put it in the hatchback, saw it wouldnt fit(as I'd read on the web),then put it beside the teg console and thought "if i cut here and here it would fit",so I put her console back in before she got home to see her car apart :) took the integra console back the next day to the junkyard and swapped it for the console with shift boot/leather shift knob from a 2000 civic si.It took a while to get it the way I wanted, not because it was hard but because I sorry assed around, what could have been done in one saturday took 2 months .If you try this remember, you can cut more plastic but cant but any back, that was the tricky part, cutting a little at a time so it lined up the way I wanted, all of the cutting was done on the si console EXCEPT for the 2 or 3,i think it was 2,clips that hung down under the radio that hold the lower piece with ashtray to the radio benzel peice, but i still ran it a couple if weeks with the 2 pieces together without clips,no rattles and was not loose.got it to where it was the way I wanted, mounted cupholder in it,I'd had it out so I could see in better, and it wouldnt fit then, the cubbyhole was too big,It was hitting the brace that goes crossways,Back to the junkyard I go,and got the cupholder out of a 96 or 98 4 door, the console was the same but the cupholder/cubbyhole was different. So really I could have got that one to start with but wouldnt have the Si leather shift knob. You do have to cut a piece of the support on each side, the plates that the radio screws into,at the bottom of the brace ,the pieces I cut were about size of a $.50 piece, didnt seem to weaken them any. I used the screw mounts that the factory ashtray lowerpiece screwed into ,as you can see in the pics,I wish I'd made a bracket on each side and used the screwholes that were in the si console, made brackets for the middle, they were the littlest "L" brackets people use in woodworking but I could have used a piece of flatbar bent to a "L",rear bracket was the si one I modified I think it was, still, could have used flatbar. If anybody wants to try it,nexttime I have it out,I'll take some copy paper and trace out a template of eachside and try to scan it or send it to you.The cupholder like I have in now, with the littlle door that opens and closes over the cupholder is easier to put in,but I do plan on modifying the cross brace and using the si cubbyhole, its bigger (more junk space). I got a piece of tan leather ,It matches the headliner perfectly to cover the armrest,I'll cover it and take out the console and spray it with brown dye when I get the time,,,,,Later

BUMP for an OLD thread!

I bumped this cause I have never seen EK console in a hatchback until I saw the pics in the 1st page.
Maybe some of you newbies have not either.

Post more pics of the 2000 console!

A little sanding, a little paint, a little alignment of fitting, you'll have something unique!
