I am a simple guy and like the Profec B alot. It is super easy to use and nice and compact. The AVCR has alot of funtcions/bells and whistles but not may people use them or even knwo how to use them. I have a friend with a Spyder and he used for the gear based boost so that he would spin in the 1st three gears (57 trim). Now that its AWD he doesnt really need that feature and he would have used a different model. In the end its up to you.
Also, why spend up to 400.00 and not do reasearch. Go home look around and see what YOU wnat. Dont just buy something with out knowledge.

I'm about to buy the older AVC-R used. Should give you an idea that $400 is a bit much for a boost controller. I would have done fine with my MBC but I can't pass the deal up.
