I just put in a new brake light switch in my 91 corolla and it fried while in sitting in a parking lot for 2 hours. Now my car won't start. I just put a new starter in it 15 months ago and a new alternator and battery maybe 8 months ago. The brake and enige lights are always on. Does it need another new alternator? Could it be a wiring problem? Why would the brake light switch melt? Any help would be great....I don't wanna drop more money into this thing than I have to.

You have too much current in that circuit. Do you have lots of aftermarket lights and electrical stuff in your car.

Lots of times, people add stuff without relays or fuses in the system to prevent a short, or blown fuse. Remember this :

More lamps = more amps.

The more stuff you put on a circuit, the more amps you draw through it. It will draw whatever it can get, and since wiring is designed as simply as possible, wires could burn up, and entire circuits can fry.
