Brakes

I just purchased a 95 4Runner. When I take off in 1st gear, the brake light on the dash comes on briefly before I shift to second then it goes out. It does the same thing again when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. It happens when the RPMs are up.

Do any know what the causes this?

Check the level of brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. Might just be the fluid level change from acceleration is triggering the float for the level warning.

Thanks, you were correct. The level was just above the MIN line.
