Hi chrism:
So you are looking to lease a 2004 525i? I was going to buy a 04 525i also, until I got spoiled and test drove a 04 530i,
Then I purchased a 2004 530i in April, and the new five series are fine autos! (But be careful, and do not buy the sport package, ((2004 BMWs with the sport packages has a problem keeping the active steering aligned because of the un even payments drop off conditions on the new expressways, switching from the new to the old payment lanes while they are under construction. etc.)), unless you plan on replacing tires from being cupped out abut every 15,000miles don't buy the sport package!
I looked at a couple of preowned BMWs with the sport package, and they steered horribly, but the ones with the premium package steered great, and that is what I got on my new 2004 530i, and with a set of Xenon's but no SPORT Package, and mine runs and handles great).
You know I thought of leasing also at first, then I found out what the new Bimmer would actually cost me less $$$ to buy it flat out. With the bank interest rates as low as they are these days for their preferred customers. and the hungry new BMW salesmen wanting to cut and finalize a deal so they can make their high commission for the month. I found out it was better for me to buy instead to lease.
But I do realize leases has advantages over purchases, and it really depends on a buyers own $$$ situation.
If you own a business it might be cheaper to lease a car, than a purchase in the long run, but you probably need to check with you CPA first.
I wish you the best with your new BMW Lease or purchase!
Sincerely,
Presley348 :smokin:

i think leasing overall is not a good idea. I mean sure it may be "cheaper" but in the long run you are more limited with what you can do.
I would always buy a car before i lease one.
thats my 2cents
