Anyone no a good way to get rid of the orange in the 95 prelude tailight?
Ive heard of the oven technique which can turn out to be a nightmare.
Ive seen some pics on how people do it. I just want to know if anyone knows a good way to get the orange out of the tailight and replace the turn signal with a clear white! thanks

well, i used the oven technique to clear my turn signals out and, to be honest, its a bitch. it took alot longer than i expected(up to 30mins each) and was hard as hell bc if ur not careful u can easly crack the lenses. but although its tedious, idk how ppl can mess it up. as long as ur sittin next to the oven and religously checkin on it every 2-3 mins you should be fine. and u gotta be very patient with carefully pulling them apart. In the end tho, idont know if theres any other way to do it and im happy as hell with mine(theyre blindingly bright) u should search for the exact directions tho.

How about using a heat gun or blow dryer?

you can use a soddering gun to melt the piece off, then break it into pieces with a needlenose and just dump all the debris out. though you may end up with little tiny pieces ot the orange lens in the turn signal housing. they can get stuck in between places sometimes.

i would think the oven would be more even and controlled. heat guns are not as easily controlled (as in melting poits too quickly and others too slow), and a hair dryer will take all day. i'll tell you what... my oven is on preheat right now, i'm gonna try it here in a minute, i'll let you know how it turns out. maybe i'll put them up on ebay. call them "true jdm" tail lights

Im gonna try this saturday, and spend my whole morning doing this. I wish they could just sell after market tailights(non altezza/euro) without the orange. The 5th gen ludes have the white in the lens, i wish they woulda thought about that for the 4th gen but oh well.

I followed the directions on the site and the only thing i'd add is that each light takes about 30 min (4min in the oven and 2-3 out). Also i had a buddy help me, and it worked great. He went up one side and loosened the glue slightly, then w/ a second flat head I'd pry it up further. lights look friggin Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Also SRV BOY you don't want people to start selling these, because everyone will buy them and eventually they would be the same as altezzas, played out and everywhere. Bastards.

clear blinkers are illiegal, Heats guns work perfectly and as for bulbs i've seen ppl just spray the clear bulb with some Orange Tamiya paint, that way the bulb lights up orange.
I dont know if anyone has said this yet but dont forget to re-seal your light housing w/ silicone after you pull it up otherwise you can get condensation.

i have had clear blinkers on my lude here in ohio (it's illegal) for the last 30,000 miles at least. no one has ever said a thing. as long as you don't drive like a dumbass, most cops anywhere will leave you alone.

when you say clear do you mean in the front? or in the tailight?
