Engine stalls

I replaced my fuel pump assembly and know the engine stalls and sometimes surges on my 96 Tahoe. What are my options

why did you replace the fuel pump? how about the fuel pressure regulator

fuel pump went bad I had to replace it, along with the fuel pump relay
