My gas gauge doesnt work good. It says full when its half empty. But my question is how can you check the floater in the gas tank. How do you remove the tank. also what are the sizes of your fuel tanks.

Hmmmmmm.....Full. The sender is 15 ohms empty and 170 ohms full. Does it read full all the time or at one point it drops down. Could be a bad connection going to the tank. Unplug the tank electrical connector and plug it back in to clean the contact. If it reads correctlu below a certain level then the ceramic resistor plate is cracked. I'm told this is only available with a new pump assembly. Dropping the tank is a lot of work. Straps may be frozen by now. Use a floor jack to support the tank shield.
