I just got a 1993 Taurus from my step-father and he doesnt know anything about the car. The only way to get in is by the remote. I am told I can reprogram the keypad on the door but I need an owners manual. Does anyone know how to reprogram the door pad? Any information would be helpful.
thanks

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ALTER PROGRAMMING OF THE MODULE, THE NUMBER IS ON THE MODULE (BEHIND FRONT VERTICAL PANEL IN TRUNK) YOU MUST FIRST OPERATE WITH THIS NUMBER, THEN YOU MAY ENTER ANY NUMBER YOU WISH . INSTRUCTIONS IN OWNERS MANUAL .-jcg

Thanks I have taken the module beside the glovebox out and there is no number on it. I will look in the trunk for what you describe. Are you talking about the panel that is on the other side of the back seat? I appericate your information sorry it took so long to reply.

the module is located inside the trunk.left side behind trunk front panel, you can just pull left side of panel down to read the number , (you will have to crawl into the trunk to do this.)- All this is assuming that you have a set of buttons on the driver's door Good Luck jcglass
